Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
An old shop, with fittings in polished oak, leather and brass. A ship's chandlers', perhaps?
Palate
Big. Cakey. Oily. Beeswax.
Finish
Late gingery spiciness with some saltiness.
Comment
A confident, handsome whisky.

Dave Broom

Nose
Light and spicy. Toasted pine nuts, citrus fruits, cereal. Stewed orange, jasmine, almond.
Palate
Mulled, spicy warmth. Fragrant and exciting. Tangerine, banana, lemon. Well-balanced with soft, sweet oak.
Finish
Those spices again. Tangerine jelly and cream.
Comment
Seems much younger than it is. Has real charm.
