Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Soft smoke. The burnt skin of some chestnuts roasting.
Palate
Rich, smooth, luxurious. A whole box of liqueur chocolates concentrated into my tasting glass. Dark chocolate, variously filled with coffee and cherry liqueurs. Perhaps even peppermint.
Finish
Sappy, oaky, dryness.
Comment
A stunning farewell performance.

Dave Broom

Nose
Fragrant wood (rosewood?) incense/musk, rancio, cheese rind, sweet and rum-like, toffee apple. Perfumed.
Palate
Starts very concentrated and sweet. Treacle scones, bung cloth, humidor, then firm wood starts to dominate. Grippy.
Finish
Treacle toffee, tannic.
Comment
A wonderful nose but too woody for me.
