Michael Jackson

Nose
Chocolates in a cedar box.
Palate
Firm. Tightly combined flavours. Chocolate. Faint hint of ginger.
Finish
Gentle, long, warming. More obvious ginger.
Comment
Leaner, drier, less estery and more oaky than the version that has no age statement. I like each equally, in its own right.

Jim Murray

Nose
Notes of cherry and sherry with malt, peat smoke and oak combining for maximum complexity.
Palate
Fat and oily; like the nose hinting slightly at bourbon.
Finish
Long and intense with more smoke and a build up of drier, spicier oak.
Comment
This is a classic whisky in any language or any culture
