Michael Jackson
Nose
Very restrained. Where has the seashore gone?
Palate
Lightly syrupy. Bafflingly thin flavours at first, then developing the earthy Ardbeg character, with a nice splash of mustard.
Finish
Finally the phenolic, tar-like, rope flavours come through.
Comment
Has this cask slept so long that it cannot completely wake up?

Nose
Truly awesome complexity. Sprig of mint with peat, malt, iodine and oak.
Palate
Ultra-rich and dense at first, then actually thinned out by the vanilla oakiness. Unbelievable.
Finish
Soooo long...with some chocolate adding to the tapestry.
Comment
Every connoisseur should get his hands on this at any cost. A classic among classics.
