Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Nose
Light, lactic and slightly grubby. Milking a cow in a mucky byre. In time, suet pudding, slightly rotting fish and butter. Very odd.
Palate
Very light. Ashes, spent fire, then butter, then Savlon. Claggy. Unbalanced.
Finish
Very thin
Comment
All the aromas are working against each other and it’s incredibly muted. Why bottle this at 40%?

Martine Nouet

Nose
Lactic. Dairy floor. Emerging sourness. Gooseberry. A hint of clover honey. Then a floral note. Meadow sweet maybe. A very faint marine touch.
Palate
Sweet but weak. Watery. Not delivering much. A cardboard note.
Finish
Did you say finish? Nearly missing here.
Comment
So shy (apart from the dairy aromas) that it is hard to describe.
