Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Distinct burning grass. Maillard reaction. Caramelised onions.
Palate
The morning toast overdone, and burned at the edges, but still appetising.
Finish
Onion marmalade.
Comment
That wasn't breakfast toast after all. It was melba toast, with a game pate. Or better still, a mousseline.

Dave Broom

Nose
Germoline, hot bitumen (two-lane blacktop), smoked meat. With water the smoke becomes more subtle and a creamy maltiness appears.
Palate
Soft and pretty sweet, ripe pear, malt and understated smokiness. Good balance.
Finish
Smoky, medium length.
Comment
A cheeky wee monkey. Lively.
