Michael Jackson

Nose
Malty, heathery, oaky.
Palate
Malty. Brown sugar. Ginger. Oak. Body is smooth and creamy.
Finish
Crisp treacle toffee.
Comment
More robust and less sophisticated than the distillery bottlings.

Dave Broom

Nose
"Sherried" notes: date, dried fruits, walnut/chestnut, heading to rancio. There's a rich, generous spirit as well: burnt orange, rooty, honey.
Palate
Smoke under the rounded nutty dried figgy notes. Honey and soft malt.
Finish
Slightly tannic.
Comment
An old bugger, but the character still shines shines through the sherry.
