Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Aromatic. Fresh aniseed aromas. Marzipan. Apple blossom. Juicy peaches. A touch of new leather
Palate
Rich, mellow, fruity. The same herbal freshness. Lemon balm, star anise. A delicate oak touch.
Finish
Dry, fresh oak. Walnut peel. Sweet liquorice.
Comment
A good combination of fruit and oak. Wood is well integrated. Quite a moreish dram.

Dave Broom

Nose
Oily almost greasy. Wood preserver, slightly flabby. Moss and grass, green fern, hot bracken. With water, some camphor.
Palate
Light malt, dry oak, clean and citric.
Finish
Apple and nutmeg.
Comment
Technically excellent...but an extra dimension is needed. None of these are complex.
