Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Lightly malty. Fudgy.
Palate
Light butter and toffee.
Finish
Crisp. Peanut brittle.
Comment
Pleasant but a little one-dimensional.

Jim Murray

Nose
Delicate and immediately malty. A sound, slightly toffee-ish grain presence. Not as smoky as a few years back, but salty for an Irish.
Palate
A complex maltiness – both grassy and intensely barley-rich – dominates. The oak is quite drying, though a hint of wild fruit offers some extra compexity.
Finish
Lightly spiced, malty with some vanilla from the grain.
Comment
Lacks depth: a simple but pleasant blend.
