Michael Jackson

Nose
Earthy, salty, iodine.
Palate
Very drying, falls away in the middle.
Finish
Stinging. Fresh limes)or does the green-tinged colour suggest that?). Very long saltiness.
Comment
More Islay-like than its Clynelish brothers. Was this some of the last made with highly peated malt?

Jim Murray

Nose
A curiously sweet/dry peatiness. Almost chewy oak/malt resonance that forms an ever greater backbone than the soft by significant smoke.
Palate
Wave upon wave of gentle, slightly crusted pet couched in a sweet bedrock of malt.
Finish
Slightly peppery with drier oaky tones. Almost too beautifully balanced to be true.
Comment
This Brora is close to perfection. To ignore would be your eternal loss.
