Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Lemon peel on a cake.
Palate
Dry, drying. Darjeeling tea. Ginger cake. Restrained. A little lacking in complexity.
Finish
Big, long, lively, gingery, spicy.
Comment
The flavours seem to be held back, then suddenly released. This whisky might have been less inhibited at a younger age.

Dave Broom

Nose
Medium rich. Polished oak, chestnut purée, butter, cake, chocolate chip cookie.
Palate
Very nutty. Hazelnut spread, chestnut. Soft and sweet with dundee cake sweetness towards the back.
Finish
Orange peel. Chocolate.
Comment
Attractive but slightly flabby.
